FWD Life Philippines Supports Fit Filipino (FitFil) Movement’s National Weight Loss Challenge!

I am going to share you another ventures from FWD Life Philippines. I am talking about their annual support and participation to Fit Filipino (FitFil) Movement’s National Weight Loss Challenge.

Do you guys remember the last time when I featured FWD Life Philippines and their collaboration with INXS superstar Mig Ayesa? It was a fun event full of music with Mig and the team but this time, I am going to share you another ventures from FWD Life Philippines. I am talking about their annual support and participation to Fit Filipino (FitFil) Movement’s National Weight Loss Challenge.

The trying-to-be-fit self me of course said yes and decided to join the fun and energy-packed fitness party. The event was held last at Central Park, SM by the Bay, Mall of Asia last June 24. I saw a lot of energetic people ready to face the challenge! Oh by the way, FWD Life Philippines is the country’s most exciting insurance brand today and their support to this endeavor is very overwhelming. They asked us to wear orange to blend in and of course, me and my friend Ruth Dela Cruz accepted the challenge (us always being compliant haha) and went straight ahead to shop!

It did rain that afternoon but that didn’t stop the entire team from succeeding. After that unexpected rain, a very heartwarming, eye-candy sunset by the bay joined our happy hearts towards fitness.

The challenge was spearheaded by fitness coaches Jim and Toni Saret (“Biggest Loser Philippines Season 2”). I was able to join them at the media and VIP tent and swayed by their positive vibes to fitness. They told me that this activity aims to get the country moving in the name of health and wellness, with the goal of collectively losing 1 million pounds during the campaign period of June 6 to December 5, 2017. I think I pledged about 5 to 10 pounds to lose. Not bad for a great start right?

Top celebrity fitness coach and FitFilipino movement founder Jim Saret said, “We have been working with FWD for over two years and their #GetReadyToLive brand attitude serves as one of the strong pillars of the National Weight Loss Challenge. We are excited to bring to life the country’s biggest health and wellness campaign as we challenge Filipinos to collectively lose one million pounds!”

“As an insurance industry pioneer in the space of health and wellness, FWD Life Philippines is delighted to partner with the FitFilipino Movement and coaches Jim and Toni to inspire Filipinos in leading healthier lives with a series of fitness-centered events,” said FWD Life Philippines Head of Marketing Rochelle Vandenberghe. “Through our Live to Move fitness parties in collaboration with FitFil and the challenge’s partners, we hope to inspire a new wave of awareness for the health benefits of keeping fit. For us at FWD, living life to the fullest starts with being healthy.”

The FitFil National Weight Loss Challenge is supported by the country’s premier medical organizations led by the Philippine Medical Association (PMA), the country’s umbrella organization for medical practitioners, as well as Philippine Heart Association (PHA), Food & Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI), Nutritionist-Dietitians’ Association of the Philippines (NDAP), and Philippine Nurses Association (PNA). Department of Science and Technology (DOST), various universities, local government units (LGUs), fitness clubs, and numerous corporations have likewise pledged their support to the challenge.

Of course The Philippine National Police (PNP) participated as well! I was happy to see their presence at the event.

Those who wish to take part in the FitFil National Weight Loss Challenge and donate weight loss pledges are invited to log on to the campaign’s official website, www.fitfil.ph.
