IT User Acceptance Testing Lead

Overview

The IT UAT Lead will lead the FWD UAT test strategy, planning & resourcing for FWD applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the strategy and planning of UAT testing across the business.

This position is for 1 year contract, to handle a specific IT mobile application project.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall success of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
  • Develop Regression UAT Test cases based on requirements, business designs and business scenarios where necessary
  • Complete Testing Plan
  • Complete Test Case Matrix for all test cases being executed in testing effort
  • Identifies testers and testing participants
  • Creates roles and responsibilities for testing participants
  • Ensures testing team responsibilities are being met
  • Co-ordinates UAT activities with customers and business units
  • Ensures testing specifications are properly linked to detailed business requirements and traceability matrix
  • Communicates status and assignments to Project Manager and Project Team
  • Responsible for coordination, communication, training, execution and management of the project Testing Defect Resolution Process.
  • Ensures all testing defects are assigned, worked and resolved according to the project schedule
  • Attends project status and issue meetings
  • Coordinates UAT signoff activities
  • Schedules and facilitates testing status meetings with the testers
  • Communicates and escalates testing issues to Project Manager in a timely manner
  • Ensures all test cases are reviewed
  • Analyzes and recommends test strategies, process improvements and standards
  • Works with systems development teams to establish/maintain test environment, including automated testing

Skills & Experience Required

  • B.S. in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 3 or more years of relevant professional experience in insurance software testing
  • Experience working both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Strong SQL and Microsoft Office skills
  • 5+ Years UAT Test Management Experience on large scale projects
  • Detailed understanding of the E2E Testing Process / Methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to report on testing progress and answer questions from vendor and business partners
  • Understanding of systems engineering concepts (SDLC)
  • Planning & time management skills
  • Adept at using computer and project management applications
  • Proactive, can multitask and willing to learn new skills
  • Punctual and has a high sense of professionalism at work
