Training Specialist – Cebu


FWD Life Insurance Corp. is looking for a Training Specialist to provide support to Agency distribution channel through the effective facilitation and delivery of identified training programs towards sales productivity. 

He/she will conduct training programs for identified distribution channels and provide support to all Training related activities and sales related events.

He/she will be based in FWD Cebu Business Hub located at G/F eBloc Tower 1 Geonzon Street, JP Morgan Bldg., Cebu IT Park, Cebu City. He/she must be open travel to conduct training programs.


  • Effective delivery of learning and development programs to build knowledge and skills of Agency Channel distributors
  • Facilitates basic and advanced life insurance training programs
  • Manages compliance to training guidelines and procedures
  • Designs and develops basic and advanced programs as assigned by the Training Operations Manager
  • Assists in the development of mini training modules
  • Assists in the enhancement of existing training modules
  • Provides support to training related activities and participates in sales related activities as assigned by the Training Operations Manager
  • Documents and tracks progress on learning effectiveness of training participants
  • Conducts post-training evaluation survey
  • Conducts  research on current training methods, trends and practices to benchmark from best practices 
  • Utilizes appropriate materials and ensures consistency of training content and format
  • Monitors compliance of participants to training guidelines
  • Prepares training materials and logistical requirements for training programs including proper dissemination of information

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Must have at least 3 years solid training background in in the life insurance industry
  • Must be knowledgeable of life insurance products particularly traditional and variable life products
  • Must be knowledgeable in fundamentals of investments
  • Must be knowledgeable of program design, delivery and evaluation
  • Must have excellent presentation/facilitation and platform skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Above average people skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
