Systems Developer – Integration


Due to business growth and new initiatives, FWD Life Insurance Corp. Inc. is looking for six (6) Systems Developer. 

The systems developer is responsible for development and implementation of FWD business systems that will support different functional areas and BAU processes.

He/she will work with the Business Analyst and provides/recommends technical solutions by conducting systems analysis and technical design according to business requirements.

This role is also responsible for development, testing, implementation and maintenance support.


  • Conducts system analysis, technical design and initial effort estimation.
  • Responsible for systems development and enhancements according to business requirements.
  • Participates in system testing (SIT) and supports user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Participates in systems implementation
  • Provides production support as needed
    • Attending to “Business as Usual” (BAU) requests
    • Assistance to batch operations (if any)
    • Conducts Systems troubleshooting
      • Determine and execute appropriate actions to restore systems service
      • Verify the resolution is successful.
  • Provides system solutions where applicable
  • Prepare user procedure manual
  • Regularly submits status reports to Systems Developer Lead

Skills & Experience Required

  • Graduate of any 4-year IT course
  • Primary skills required : MSSQL Transact SQL, Database modelling, Data integration, Java Core
  • Knowledge in Transact SQL and able to develop advance to complex SQL queries.
  • With working experience in data integrations using ETL tools such as SSIS, DataStage, etc.
  • At least 2 years JAVA J2EE development working experience (client server, web application, web services)
    • Knowledgeable in developing APIs (ReST, SOAP)
    • Experience in Spring Framework
    • JQUERY is a plus
  • Familiarity on the following is an advantage
    • React JS
    • Node JS
    • Docker
    • Git Lab/Hub
  • Working experience in a life Insurance company is preferred
  • Hands-on experience in life insurance system development and implementation is an advantage
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • With good communication skills
  • Knowledge in the following platform is an advantage: ESB,  Websphere MQ, Transact SQL
