Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan’s fourth child, Benjamin, had an open-heart surgery when he was young. It, however, did not stop him from living his life to the fullest.

Since his operation, Benjamin, who is one of the five FWD North Pole Marathon Squad members, bravely took on different challenges—running marathons and getting into different sports.

Having gone through a difficult circumstance and getting past it through sheer will is an experience that he shares with FWD North Pole Marathon finisher Louie Sangalang.

In this video, Benjamin shares his thoughts about the “World’s Coolest Marathon” and what he feels is the biggest challenge that it poses.
