Established in Asia in 2013, FWD is the insurance business of investment group, Pacific Century Group.
FWD is focused on creating fresh customer experiences, with easy-to-understand products, supported by digital technology. Through this customer-led approach, FWD aims to become a leading pan-Asian insurer that changes the way people feel about insurance.
We began our Philippine operations with two products: All Set (a single-pay insurance plan) and Set for Life (a regular-pay insurance plan with optional premium benefits).
We launched our strategic bancassurance partnership with Security Bank Corporation. We continue in this partnership and in 2020 went on to fulfil our five-year milestone 17 months ahead of schedule.
We opened our first business hub outside Metro Manila in Cagayan de Oro.
We ranked 13th among life insurers in terms of total premium income.
We opened our first business hub in Bonifacio Global City.
We signed a three-year partnership with the Philippine Basketball Association, becoming their official insurer.
We opened four business hubs in Taguig, Makati, Baguio, and Davao.
We opened our business hub in Santiago, Isabela.
We launched Set for Health, a comprehensive plan against critical illnesses.
We launched US Dollar All Set Higher, a dollar-based single-payment insurance plan.
We became the first insurer in the Philippines to offer a 24/7 support hotline and live chat.
Former Central Bank Governor and Philippine Ambassador to the USA Jose Cuisia was proudly appointed as our Board Chairman.
We opened our business hub in Malolos, Bulacan.
We launched our Community Care partnership with Special Olympics.
We launched Set for Tomorrow, a series of customizable protection plans.
We opened our second business hub in Davao.
We opened our business hubs in Alabang, Ortigas, and Cebu.
We launched our Community Care partnership with Humanity & Inclusion.
We launched FWD Tapp, a mobile app that allows our customers to manage their policies digitally. It’s gone on to win several awards.

We launched FWD online shop, our new direct-to-consumer online insurance platform including KanDuu, our exclusive online product suite.

We ranked 1st for Customer Experience in the Philippines based on an independent CX Index conducted by Forrester.
We unveiled the newly renamed FWD-Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (FWD-MCX).
We launched our chatbot Enzo, with the capability to schedule appointments with financial advisors, respond to product inquiries, and offer product recommendations tailored to our customers’ financial goals.
We opened our business hubs in Binondo, Manila and Valencia, Bukidnon.
We maintained our Top 3 spot in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard for three years running.
